发现一类梯度特异介质表面可将电磁波的传播模式完美转化成表面束缚模式；发现利用特异介质调控电磁波偏振的新机理；发现光子完美透射新机理；发现光子带隙产生新机制：零平均折射率带隙；利用局域共振在平面分形结构中实现亚波长光子带隙；建立金属环状结构电磁模式的严格理论方法；发现各向异性电磁特异介质中反常“布鲁斯特角”现象；解决了国际上关于磁流变液的基态的争论。
