刘俊研究员在有机高分子光电材料方面具有深厚的研究积累和学术功底。他发明了硼氮配位键n型有机高分子半导体材料，成功应用于有机太阳能电池和有机场效应晶体管，性能优异。他还揭示了该类材料的“化学结构——光电性质——凝聚态结构——有机光电器件性能”之间的关联。该研究成果被认为是为n型有机高分子半导体材料领域提供了分子设计新策略和材料新体系。刘俊研究员擅长有机高分子光电材料的设计、合成与纯化，有机光电器件的制备、表征与分析。
